About Hannah

Hannah Temple: qualified integrative Counsellor

I am so passionate about the powerful and positive impact knowing yourself better can have. I really believe psycho-education and therapy should accessible to all and am making that happen as a Counsellor.

Before I started my Counsellor training I worked in journalism, television production and digital marketing, mostly in agencies, so I understand the hectic whirl that life can become.

I also know how easy it can be to get cut off from your intuition and de-prioritise your true Self over and over again.

My ethos & experience

Counsel Culture is a safe and affirming LGBTQIA+ space. My practice is always client-led, so I work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

My practice is also intercultural, meaning I work with an eye on what makes every culture unique to exist within.

I have experience working as an online Counsellor and in face-to-face therapy with a variety of common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, relationship difficulties chronic and childhood illness, sexuality and eating disorders.

I also have extensive experience working with bereavement having worked at St Helena Hospice Colchester in their bereavement team.

My area of professional interest is in working with codependency, complex family dynamics, victims of coercive control and survivors of religious trauma.

Working with me as an integrative counsellor

Making sure you feel comfortable and taking time to build a strong relationship are my top priorities. I won’t push you into sharing certain things before you’re ready. I’ll reflect what I’m hearing from you and I’ll offer insights I think might be helpful. I take feedback well and I’ll endeavour to share bits of my expertise and experience along the way where relevant.

As a counsellor who sometimes works online, I sometimes have to work a little differently from a face-to-face counsellor, but not as differently as you might expect. It mostly entails being very transparent about what is going on in our own environments so that I can make sure you’re safe and that we can avoid misunderstandings.
